Photos of the Weeks 32-43

Fotos / Pix - 7 months ago - cheesy

Wow! I forgot about this for quite a while! So here are the pics of the last 12 weeks!

Week 32:

In week 32 we went up Danube Tower together with Evi and Georg. Danube Tower is a lookout tower in Danube park, not far from our new home. David of course took the chance to take a 360° panorama. It’s cool, isn’t it?

Week 33:

Sunset behind Windischgarsten. I took the shot when we celebrated Conny’s birthday on Singerskogel close to Spital am Phyrn.

Week 34:

On the weekend we drove up to Munich to celebrate Daniel’s birthday. On the way back home we enjoyed the wonderful sunny weather in southern Bavaria.

Week 35:

A single flower, taken in Strasshof. I love the way that there are many tiny flowers inside the larger flower.

Week 36:

Don’t they look like they are painted? David shot this with our new lens. It’ not post-processed at all.

Week 37:

Angela, Petra and I took a stroll through Vienna city on a wonderful sunny evening. This is one of the lions guarding the Hofburg.

Week 38:

Sunset on lake Wörthersee. We spent the weekend playing pen-and-paper roleplaying games. It was great! We played Shadowrun, Cthulhu and Paranoia.

Week 39:

Bubbles in a glass of soda on Eisenaueralm close to lake Attersee. David, Susanne, Stephan and I made a full day hike which was strenuous but really great!

Week 40:

One task of the Scavenger Hunt was this – plain and fancy in one picture. This is our representation.

Week 41:

We spent this wonderful Weekend on a hike in the Ötschergräben. Wonderful blue skies, scant rocks and green water – what else do you want? The picture we selected as the photo of the week depicts one of the many rock formations – don’t you think it looks like a winged horse?

Week 42:

One task of this month’s Scavenger Hunt was “Thank you, Steve Jobs!”. As we didn’t want to just make a shot of an iPod or any other Apple product we tried to recreate their logo in our kitchen.

Week 43:

Another task of the Scavenger Hunt was the smallest possible macro shot. That’s what we managed.

Photo of the Week 31

Fotos / Pix - 9 months ago - cheesy

This week we had a hard time deciding on one of our pictures but finally we chose this one:

David took a picture of himself in the mirror and I took a picture of him taking a picture of himself … meta, isn’t it?

Photos of the Weeks 29 and 30

On July 22nd Petra and I were at the Bon Jovi concert, thus the picture of the week was taken there:

The following week the highlight was Susanne’s and Stephan’s wedding. In the picture of the week David caught one of the white doves while flying to the sky:

Time flies! Week 28 – half of the year is already over. Here’s the pic of last week:

On Saturday Gerhard, Conny, David and I went to the Prater. David made some marvelous shots, one of them of the Liliputbahn.

Photos of the weeks 21-25

Fotos / Pix - 11 months ago - cheesy

Well, after my project management course is over I finally got some more free time. Thus I can update you on my photos of the weeks 21 to 25.

Week 21:

Another shot for the scavenger hunt – we had to shoot a paper plane in flight. After some tries David finally managed to get a shot of my very fast paper plane!

Week 22:

The Event in week 22 was Johanna’s and Thomas’s wedding! Here a picture from that day.

Week 23:

You should already know this picture – I posted it a few weeks ago in the post “Flickr Explore!”. After a strong rain, I could get this great shot along the railway dam not far from to the office.

Week 24:

A completely different event – we had a red moon due to the moon eclipse on June 15th. The funniest thing was that the moon was barely visible especially during the full eclipse but many people were standing along the field looking in the direction of the (invisible) moon. Some people walking by were very confused cause they didn’t know about it and couldn’t see anything!

Week 25:

After our project and the presentation we all went to the Prater. After a nice evening some of us went on the giant Ferris wheel “Riesenrad”. This is a shot from inside one of the gondolas.

Pictures of the weeks 19 and 20

Ausflug / Fotos / Pix / ShortTrip - 12 months ago - cheesy

Here are our best pics from the last two weeks.

Week 19:

David shot this one as a shot for our scavenger hunt game. We had to take a picture of a padlock. We used my old suitcase lock and key for the shot.

Week 20 I shot myself:

Angela and I went to the house of music and in between the famous composers (no idea which one it was) we found this marionette behind a blue curtain. I shot it out of my hand, so I think it came out quite well!

Zoo, Aqua Terra Zoo and Photo of the Week 18

Ausflug / Fotos / Freunde / Friends / ShortTrip - 1 year ago - cheesy

Last week Isabel came to visit us and of course we went to the zoo. Thursday we went to Schönbrunn zoo, where the flamingoes and turtles seemed to have spring feelings:

Turtle Sex Video

Some already had babies, for example the elephants, pandas, pelicans and penguins.

The pics are here:

The next day we went to the Aqua Terra Zoo which was even cooler. Plus on top of the building we had a fabulous view over Vienna!

Here are the pics:

And finally the photo of the week 18:

I bought this beautiful digitalis plant and took an early morning dewdrop picture which went up high in Flickr instantly!

Here another picture of the full plant:

This week on Easter Monday we visited David’s Granny. We took the chance to shoot a picture of the Strudlhofstiege where the spring flowers were blooming beautifully!

Picture of the Week

Fotos - 1 year ago - cheesy

Since I didn’t want to come up with the time to shoot a picture a day this year I decided on shooting a picture a week. I want to post them on a regular basis (weekly if I find the time). Now I show you all the pics David and I already shot this year all in one heap:

Week 0 – 2011 (or Week 52 – 2010): Pink Rose

I shot this slightly dry rose at my parents house. It was standing together with its brothers and sisters in a little vase. You can see the others in the background. I edited the picture a bit to grey out the background and put the focus on the one rose.

Week 1 – 2011: The Sun is Smiling at You!

Right in the first week of 2011 we could watch the wonder of a partial eclipse. The sky was mostly clear so David took this wonderful picture from the parking lot of his office. So no – this is not a night shot!

Week 2 – 2011: Spa at Night

This time the shot was really taken at night! After we spent a week in bed with a heavy version of the flu, we went to the spa Blumau. Here is a nightly picture of the foggy blues!

Week 3 – 2011: A Glimpse of the Moon

A scary looking moon was glimpsing through these equally scary looking trees at the train station in Klosterneuburg.

Week 4 – 2011: Austrian Energy

For the current scavenger hunt round a picture of “Energy” was needed. As a real Austrian I had to post this one – to get some education overseas. In New Zealand and US it is not a common knowledge that Red Bull is an Austrian product…

Week 5 – 2011: Microcosmos

We had the first really nice sunny day this week here in Klosterneuburg. And of course we took the chance to go for an extended walk. Unfortunately the weather was not clear so only the close ups were really nice. But this little moss and twigs make a good picture, still!

Week 6 – 2011: Forked Path

For the first time we walked around the area of our new apartment. And we were positively surprised with extended park areas right next to our apartment buildings. SO we can look forward to an active summer!

Week 7 – 2011: Purple Pen

Another picture for the scavenger hunt. This time the theme was – can you guess it? Purple! Almost impossible to believe that I didn’t choose the color for this picture. Well, of course I chose the color of the pen I bought… but not to make a purple picture out of it!

Week 8 – 2011: Titanic

A replica of the Sinking of the Titanic – and all of it in our living room! No comments!

Week 9 – 2011: New Kitchen

Yippee! Our new kitchen arrived! I spent two days watching two strong guys drilling, cutting and fixing my kitchen. That was great! And here’s the result!

Week 10 – 2011: Swans

Not very far from our apartment is the “Old Danube” – a sidebranch of Danube river. This week I walked over there and found a huge group of beautiful swans and ducks!

Week 11 – 2011: Balloons

At one of my quite frequent visits to the local hardware store (Baumax) I was lucky to be at the day of the new opening of one of the departments. Not only did I get a bucket, a pen and a knife but I also got a great shot of the yellow and red balloons in front of a wonderful blue sky!

Week 12 – 2011: Yellow Crocus

Spring is here! This and a lot of other wonderful shots of spring flowers I could take in Eichgraben. And all under a wonderful blue spring sky!

Week 13 – 2011: I’m Watching You!

Don’t you feel watched? This year’s anniversary we spent at the zoo (together with hundreds of others). This flamingo kept a careful watch on us!

Week 14 – 2011: Tiger

And as once is not enough I went to the zoo again the following week and as you can see – it was worth it!

Week 15 – 2011: Red Tulips

Even in April we got sunshine! Here’s a beautiful shot of my parents tulips.

Week 16 – 2011: Red Beet

Here’s the last picture of last week – a red beet root. David and I now have a subscription at a local organic farm. They deliver a box full of fruits and vegetables every week. This week we had red beet amongst other delicious things!

That was the first post but now they should come regularly!
