Vomiting instead of eating…

Unfortunately I didn’t make it to the end of the Kohltour. On the way from Ossenbeck to Aschen we stopped at every corner to drink alcohol. When we finally reached the restaurant after three hours, I went shortly to the washroom and almost passed out. It was really hot in the restaurant which made my blood pressure rise and within seconds it was over. David brought me home and I fell into instant sleep. Three years I’ve been to Northern Germant, and still I didn’t manage to eat the famous “Grünkohl”…

Christmas Party

Christmas Party in our house! We didn’t want anyone to be home alone for Christmas so we decided to make a party in the staff house. I took the day off to prepare food and everything for the party. I made a Tiramisu and several bread spreadings. Fabricio’s objective was to find a Christmas tree, but in Germany it is almost impossible to find a tree for a good price. On Sunday noon I already thought that we bought the Christmas baubles for nothing. Then I thought I’ll just call Isabel, because she’s from Germany and she might have an idea where to find a Christmas tree on Sunday the 24th. She said:”Well, I have a friend who lives around here and her father sells Christmas trees…” So in no time the problem was solved and we had a wonderful 2.5 m high Christmas tree in our living room. We still didn’t have a stand for the tree, but we improvised a bit and took a garbage can from the shop and filled it with some stones.
The party started at 7:30 and at 8:30 most of the people finally arrived. We were 15 people all together and close to midnight we started singing and didn’t stop until three in the morning. Good party!

Alte Druckerei

Another drunken night together with my colleagues. It seems that whenever we plan to go for dinner on Friday nights it ends like this … but I think I can live with it By the way, “Alte Druckerei” in Vechta is a very good Greek-Italian-Turkish restaurant … the only problem is, that we have to wait for the food so long, that we finish the first bottle of wine long before we start eating… Well, that might be the reason…

Wedding

David and I got married today! Our wedding started at 20 past 10 in the morning in the civil registry office in the eigth district of Vienna. I’m glad that I made it … well, yesterday I partied a bit too much!
Actually I planned to do the bridal shower party a week before the marriage – just in case! But things never work out the way they’re supposed to! Yesterday some friends of me who couldn’t come last week and I repeated this party…
Anyways, at about half past one I couldn’t drink any more and took a cab back home. At least I tried to! After only a short trip I gave five Euros to the cab driver so that he stops before something happens…

I made it out just in time! But now I had to walk back home. From the place I was then I had to walk at least an hour back home – even when I’m able to walk straight! Fortunately I managed to call David who picked me up so we could walk home together! At a quarter to three I was in bed finally!

However, I felt quite good today. I could even eat lunch with a gusto. Well, we’ve been to a delicious restaurant – Ulrich Lacroix in Berggasse 29 in the ninth district of Vienna. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone!
